Hey! The idea was to disable component so it's no more included in the version's results, but still possible to edit (and still showing its own individual results). Sort of similiar to inteligent object in Photosop - it can be turned off as a layer, but still could be opened and edited:)
It would help with creating better versions of existing components and their comparison.

The same feature might be applied to all individual materials in components, to make work on that level easier too:)
